Baiyangdian is a broad wetland of reed beds, lotus ponds and working waterside villages inside Xiong'an New Area. The useful way to visit is not to chase every named attraction from an old guidebook, but to choose one official pier, one boat route and enough time to understand the lake as a protected living landscape. Summer brings lotus flowers and heat; spring and autumn are quieter for birds, water and village walks.
