Beidaihe is Qinhuangdao's classic seaside district: wooded lanes, long beaches, headlands for sunrise and a summer culture shaped by more than a century of coastal holidays. Treat it as a compact shore break, not a checklist of amusement parks. Stay near the part of the coast you expect to use, check swimming conditions each day, and leave the Great Wall for a separate Shanhaiguan day.
