Hong Kong is a free port: no sales tax, no VAT and no customs duty on most goods, which is why "shopping" sits in the same breath as the skyline. The trick to enjoying it is geography — the city divides naturally into a handful of shopping districts, each with its own personality, and the MTR drops you at the entrance of most of them. Do one district per day, mix malls with street markets, and stop for milk tea when your feet protest.
