Hengdian is a small town in Dongyang, Zhejiang, that became the largest film-studio complex on earth — the "Chinese Hollywood", where entire imperial capitals and treaty-port streets were built to be torn through by cameras. Hundreds of productions are shot here every year, so visitors walk through working sets, catch live stunt shows, and may share a noodle shop with an actor still in costume.
